But for those who are looking for a somewhat more adventurous experience, Mahabalipuram is a UNESCO World Heritage site. You can see proof of creative thinking. The Shore Temple is another brilliant structure carved out of granite, that stands tall against the backdrop of the Bay of Bengal, narrating the stories of the past. Not far from here, the Five Ratha's, vivid images of the dynasty's art, and monolithic structures akin to chariots are still preserved. Thus, Mahabalipuram is not only about history. Here, too, beautiful beaches can allow for a time of nature retreat.
